Crispy Potato Wedges with Spicy Dipping Sauce
There’s nothing quite like the satisfying crunch of homemade potato wedges paired with a zesty dipping sauce. This simple yet delicious recipe is perfect for a snack, side dish, or even a casual get-together.
Ingredients:
For the Potato Wedges:
4 large russet potatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Spicy Dipping Sauce:
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Cut each potato into wedges.
Place the potato wedges in a large bowl and add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.
Step 2: Bake the Potato Wedges
Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wedges are golden brown and crispy.
Step 3: Prepare the Spicy Dipping Sauce
While the wedges are baking, prepare the dipping sauce by combining mayonnaise, whole grain mustard, hot sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
Once the potato wedges are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
Serve the crispy potato wedges with the spicy dipping sauce on the side.
